Bisons win 6-1 against Crowthorne F.C. 'A'

After a crushing late minute loss in last weeks game the Bison were hungry to get back to winning ways. With a full strength side with multiple players returning against an in form Crowthorne team they were more than up for the task.

The game kicked off and it was a end to end affair with not many clear cut chances, a lot of the play in the middle of the park with some tricky feet from the Crowthorne midfielders but some equally impressive defensive work to win the ball back and get back up the pitch. Bracknell were the first to strike with around 10 minutes on the clock some persistent running down the left wing left Owen with clear chance to cross the ball in , after deflecting off the defender the ball looped in the air bound for the keepers hands however a determined Duncan leaped there first to head in the first to make it 1-0. From then on the Bison we’re determined for more, with the ball seemingly about to go out for a throw Duncan does brilliantly to keep it and sees the keeper slightly off his line but curls a fantastic effort into the top right corner to get his second of the game. Around half an hour in Bracknell make some substitutes and it was one that grabbed the third. After winning a free kick 30 yards out , Owen whips in a delightful ball into the corridor of uncertainty and Dylan does brilliantly to stoop down low to head in the third. Half time Bracknell Bison 3 - 0 Crowthorne.

Another change of personnel Bracknell bring two more substitutes on. However from the start Crowthorne were the more hungry to back into in drawing some great saves from Harry at the back. After conceding a free kick on the edge of the box Crowthorne go for goal however deflects off the arm of a Bracknell player in the wall which draws a penalty and Crowthorne slot it away to make it 3-1. Game on? However did this pressure make the Bison panic , it certainly didn’t. Some excellent defensive blocks and clearances lead to the ball being played down the left to Dylan who was making an electric run down the wing, in comes in a marauding Ben at the back post , Dylan fizzes the ball towards the back post and Ben slides in to two in the fourth. It was all Bracknell now as the boys try to get a 5th. Some clever build up play lead to the ball at Jays feet after some clever foot work and a great shout from Joe , Jay lays him off and Joe strikes it low past the keeper to make it 5-1. With 10 minutes left Bracknell were playing comfortable yet attractive football, they win a free kick on the edge of the box which draws a great save from the Crowthorne keeper who fails to keep hold of it and who’s there’s again but Kevin to tap in yet another for the season to cap off a brilliant 6-1 win.

A very strong performance which gets the boys off the mark in the league , they travel to Reading next week for a tough game in the cup against a strong Division 1 side however after this weekend the lads will be right up for it.
